We are on a mission to make local produce accessible and demystify the farming process. We want everyone to know where their food is from and how it was grown to create a healthier, more sustainable future.
Our owner, Brad Ritchmond, has worked in the aquarium industry for over 30 years and brings his immense knowledge of these systems and a love of fresh, healthy food to our urban farming operation.
As a family business, our two kids are learning about what they eat and where it comes from. Plus, they serve as our in-house taste-testers!

How we grow…
All our produce is grown using aquaponics. Aquaponics combines the raising of fish with the soil-less growing of plants.
While an ancient practice used by both the Aztecs and in China, our aquaponics system is a little more high-tech. Using a system of flood tables and rafts to house our plants, water is continuously pumped throughout the tables and our fish system. In fact, water is filtered and fed through the system 3 times more frequently than in your typical aquarium. This means we have very happy fish and even more nutrient and flavor-rich produce!
We use LEDs, compact fluorescent lighting, and carbon dioxide to help our produce grow and mature so we can always deliver the freshest greens to you.
